We had plans! We were going to go to the snow. It was going to be epic! The outfits were picked out, the hair and makeup appointments were scheduled. However, the morning we were getting ready to go, I looked out my window to see that the wind had blown all of my backyard furniture over to the fence, all of it! The tree looked like it was folded in half and I worried it wasn’t going to make it through the day. I have NEVER seen it so windy! We looked at the weather in Tahoe, and it was REALLY bad. I was so sad! We had such great plans. Boo! Super bummer!!
We tried really hard to make lemonade out of lemons, so I suggested we do a milk bath session. Cassie happened to find the perfect dress on her way to my house. My flower designer, Keri from Lily and Pearl Floral Design, happened to have the morning off. Things worked out to be able to do this really amazing milk bath session. I’m only able to share a few images with you, but they happen to be my favorites!
Cassie wanted something unique and different from her maternity session with her first daughter. I think we definitely accomplished the goal of being unique and different. 🙂
It’s always good to know that, if things don’t go as planned, your photographer does have a back up plan. I love how these images turned out.
The rest of the story is that we tried to go outside and take some pictures, but the wind was SO STRONG that it was really hard. Their daughter was cold, her gorgeous hair was in everyones’ faces, and we just decided to call it. But, I couldn’t leave it at that. To find out what happened next, check in tomorrow. 🙂
